Six alleged armed robbers disguising in camouflage army uniform have been arrested in Benue State.

The suspects have allegedly been terrorising motorists and travellers along Gboko-Ugbema-Katsina Ala axis and were arrested on Monday.

A single barrel gun, six Army camouflage uniform and eight mobile phones were recovered from them.

Police authorities identified the gang leader as 18-year-old Akighir Tyolumun, while others were identified as Iorlumun Kyanya, 18; Chia Joshua, 18; Tevershima Terhemba, 25; Peter Terlumun, 20; and Tarkighir Emmanuel, 18.

Police say they have intensified efforts to arrest other members of the gang.
