The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has urged newly elected APC ward chairmen to firmly hold their respective bases in order to ensure a more formidable APC ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Chief Yemi Sanusi, Chairman of the party’s Caretaker Committee in Ogun State, made the call while inaugurating the newly elected 236 ward chairmen in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Hon. Abeeb Ajayi, the party’s lawyer, administered the oath of office to the 236 Ward Chairmen at Mitros Hall in Abeokuta.
Chief Sanusi charged the chairmen with running an inclusive administration in their respective wards, saying that the party’s door is wide open to welcome as many people as possible who want to join the progressive train.
He went on to say that unity and peace should be pursued at all times to ensure the party’s continued success in future elections.
He also urged them to avoid arrogance, divisiveness, and one-man shows, claiming that such an attitude breeds only disagreement and faction, which would not be tolerated.
